Terms & Conditions of Sale

Smart Kids School offers online educational programming courses for children from age 7, using Scratch (MIT), Python, and modules in AI and robotics. Courses are delivered via video conference by qualified instructors (EPFL & ETHZ engineers).

Available packages:

• •Solo (1 child), One-on-one personalised classes. 4 sessions of 1h per month. Minimum 3-month commitment, with a lower monthly rate on 6 or 12-month plans.
• •Duo (2 children), Shared course between 2 children (sibling or friend). Total price covers both children. 4 sessions of 1h per month. Minimum 3-month commitment, with a lower monthly rate on 6 or 12-month plans.
• •Premium, One-to-one mentoring with the founder: 2 sessions per week, project published within 12 months, competition preparation, quarterly review with parents, direct access to the founder, 2 vacation camps offered per year. Available without commitment or as 12-month full payment (-10%).
• •Vacation camps, Intensive camps during school holidays (Easter, summer, autumn, February). Price per child per camp, with 10% discount on 2nd child from same family.
• •Mathematics, Individual mathematics classes (awakening, understanding the school curriculum, going deeper, competition prep), sold as hour packs paid in full upfront. See 6.6.

All prices in CHF, taxes included. Smart Kids School is not subject to Swiss VAT (turnover < CHF 100,000).

The order is formalized by filling in the enrollment form on the site, followed by full payment. The sale is only final after Stripe payment confirmation.

Payment is due at the time of ordering. No sessions are scheduled before receipt of initial payment. Smart Kids School offers several payment terms depending on the package chosen:

4.4 Accepted payment methods:

The online enrollment form accepts card payment. Payment by bank transfer (CHF) is possible on request, to be agreed by email before enrolling.

Bank transfer: offers paid in one go (holiday camps, maths packs, Solo, Duo and Premium paid in full) can also be paid by bank transfer. The Client then receives an invoice with a QR code, payable within 10 days. The enrolment is confirmed on receipt of payment; for a camp, payment must reach us before it starts. If payment is not received by the due date, Smart Kids School may cancel the enrolment and release the place. Promotional codes apply only to card payments.

Early bird offer for camps: a camp enrolment made at least 21 days before the start of the chosen week receives a 10% discount (price rounded to the franc), until the day shown on the camps page inclusive. The early bird offer cannot be combined with a promotional or referral code.

Referral: after their first payment, each customer family receives a personal referral code. A new family using it gets 10% off its first enrolment (first monthly payment for a subscription). For each new family who pays an offer of at least CHF 259 with this code, the referring family receives a free one-hour individual session, in maths or coding, valid for 12 months, up to 5 sessions per calendar year. No session is granted if the order is refunded, if the new family was already a customer, or for using one's own code. The free session cannot be exchanged or refunded in cash.

Promotional codes: a discount code (referral, partner school or association, one-off offer) is entered at checkout. It cannot be combined with another code, does not apply to gift cards, cannot be exchanged or refunded in cash, and remains valid within the limits stated when it was given (duration, number of uses, first order). On a subscription, the discount applies for the period set by the code.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

In accordance with Swiss consumer law principles (CO art. 40a et seq.), the Client has 14 calendar days from the date of purchase to exercise their right of withdrawal.

SKS's liability is expressly limited to the amount paid for the service. In case of force majeure, SKS will reschedule sessions at no cost or offer a partial refund if rescheduling is impossible.

Courses are for children from age 7. Orders must be placed by an adult with parental authority. SKS is committed to maintaining a safe, age-appropriate learning environment.

These Terms are subject to Swiss law. In case of dispute, parties first seek an amicable resolution. Otherwise, the courts of the Canton of Vaud (Switzerland) have jurisdiction.
